BLONDE This client had been having highlights but so many the overlap was pretty much a full head blonde. It was harsh against her skin tone and dated. Making her regrowth really obvious and fast. She had a set of clip in extensions she loved the colour and wanted to get as close to them as possible. We used a soft bleach highlight to blend her root - along with low light and a violet toner all over after. @quifhair You can’t see the colours great on film, definitely don’t do this blonde enough justice. But even when wet the colours in her skin tone looked gorgeous. It will last her longer this time as it grows out and the blonde will be broken up even more with her next appointment. We gave her a trim and layer , blending out some old breakage and I think it actually looks thicker for the soft reshape. Then the extensions. 🤩 These are only a synthetic clip extension (but I’ve a feeling I’ll be seeing this client for extensions soon!) She loved the look of& length. So pleased with the results. Giving this head some TLC 💕 Pretty proud of this one… “Had lots of compliments on my hair. Thank you! “ After some hair lightening at home, some serious breakage and a cut that left her with no shape or style.. I’m SO GRATEFUL this client landed in my chair 🌈 We did a root drag , trying to keep it as organic as possible and soften the regrowth. Then a toner to cool the warmth of the blonde slightly. The cut. She really loves long hair but the suns out, holiday on the horizon, she needed a hairstyle to give her some confidence and camouflage the shorter sections where her hair had snapped. We went for a bob shape. Adding some layers where we could to get a better shape. Switching the parting to the side and tucking the worst side behind the ear. Sunset 🌅 I love a look that’s a bit different ❤️ We built this eye up with bronze first, to a rich orange with @bperfectcosmetics MUTED and finally some red in @bperfectcosmetics CARNIVAL palettes. I always start with @maccosmeticsuk PAINTERLY PAINTPOT. Best eye primer ever. Once you’ve got a nice socket blend, cut out with concealer. I blended out into corners to get the eye a bit sticky, then add extra red and orange on the outer corner for more intensity. The socket I patted @maccosmeticsuk soft & gentle highlighter. Then used a @peachesmakeup eyeliner brush - their brushes are amazing and affordable if you are on the hunt for new ones… with @illamasqua SEALER GEL , dip your brush in a drop, dip in product to create a gold glitter liner. Softening The Colour Combo! So my lovely client hasn’t had colour with me before. Like myself, she’s letting her grey grow in naturally. She was struggling with an old colour growing out, as the grey was becoming more obvious but didn’t want anything permanent, just something to even out. We used a Quif Demi colour, that will fade over time, instead of leaving her with a regrowth. The Demi colour blended most of the old colour, getting close to her natural base. At the same time, making the natural grey work as a natural highlight, whilst she gets through this awkward colour stage. Soft contour & fresh glow? The weathers dreary but your face can stay in summer 💫 Contour - @maccosmeticsuk have a great range of shades . Use under the cheekbone, sides of nose, under the jawline & chin to lift & sculpt. But only use where you need it! If you don’t have a high forehead don’t contour it. Same with everything else… Bronze/blush - creates an illusion of plumpness. Use on the full part of your cheeks and up the hollows of your temples. I love @juviasplace Highlight - Bounce the light on the tops of cheeks, brow bone, bridge of nose. Even mix with blush to give a glowy radiant cheek. Avoid using on the nose if you’ve an oily skin and around areas with deep lines. So it doesn’t eventuate.
